Outdoor Living Space of the Year 2022
One of our favorite end of the year activities is to sit down and take a look at all of the amazing finished projects completed by the end of the year. The best part is getting to choose one of our favorite projects to submit to the Home Builders Association’s awards program. We were honored, for the fourth year in a row, to receive the award “Outdoor Living Space of the Year” for 2022.
The HBA awards program was judged by members of the HBA of Greater Austin and the Building Industry Associations of Central Ohio and San Diego.
Pool Level Area
One of the best focal points for this project is the main pool level. It features a beautiful stone wood burning fireplace, with room for seating. The area is finished with regular broom finished concrete surrounding the pool and fireplace. The expansive patio has enough space for comfortable seating around the pool and fireplace.
Under Deck Area
Flowing to the under-deck area, the project includes a two-tiered retaining wall, with a shrubbery feature for privacy, and steps on either side of the outdoor room. The open lower patio, covered patio, and stepping stones are finished with a custom stamped concrete tile overlay. The under deck area also includes a large space for hosting table tennis tournaments and enjoying TV.
Upper Deck Area
The top floor of the project includes a screen room and an open deck area. For this project, we used a composite decking. The screen room includes Heartlands custom screen room system and a Universal Motions retractable screen for added flow between the spaces. It also includes a gas burning fireplace, Infratech header mounted heaters, and a vaulted ceiling. The open deck area is finished with Westbury aluminum railing and an outdoor kitchen area. In addition, the outdoor kitchen features a Napoleon built-in grill, a True Residential under counter refrigerator and Fire Magic drawers and cabinet.
At the awards program, we were also recognized with one more award. We were honored to receive the Social Media Campaign award for our #WindDownWednesday campaign. See a few examples below!
